This is part of a project meant to establish a set of characters in a series named Blood Ties.
Blood Ties is a personal project I have been picking away at for nearly four years at this point in time.
Part 5 out of 5 of the Golden Riders.
------
A person with no name or no information where they originally came from. Formally a caretaker of a wealthy family, they would most often tend to the gardens, the stables, and other faithful companions. While he was beloved at first, revered as the family's favorite servant, that love would wither into abuse and exploitation as the years went by. This would lead to the Houndmaster to search for a better life, where he would cross paths with Jeremiah Pierce when the outlaw was still alive. Jeremiah would extend a hand for the Houndmaster to start a new life with him and his family, which the Houndmaster accepted.
However, the family the Houndmaster originally cared for would be unwilling to let their prized servant go. They would conspire with the law, cut down the entire Pierce family, and force the Houndmaster back into their servitude. But despite this, the Houndmaster would break his chains once more in search for his lost friend. In this last pursuit, the Houndmaster would die to the hands of bounty hunters sent by that same family. But in death, the Houndmaster would be resurrected by the same dragon goddess that reawakened the Golden Rider. Him and his hounds rose from the ashes, unfettered.
